The Space

Artist and expert urban beekeeper Alison Knox will describe the joys of the apiary, including the “cleansing flights” that created Weber’s bee canvases. Vivienne Brown, Professor Emeritus in Philosophy and Intellectual History in the Economics Department at The Open University, will introduce a different view of the “hive” – as a model of productivity described by the early economist Adam Smith.

Nottingham Contemporary’s public programme is jointly funded by Nottingham Trent University and The University of Nottingham.
